1945 Aerial pictures from New Castle to Wilmington
These pictures provide an indication of land usage around New Castle around 75 years ago. Note that at the bottom left of the composite image, wartime censors blocked details of the airport.They were originally from former University of Delaware professor John Mackenzie's Spatial Analysis Lab website (udel.edu/FREC/spatlab). He provided higher resolution images (3800 pixels), but these seem to have been lost. The current 1000 pixel images were saved at nc-chap.org.
